Assessed against AO1, AO2, AO3 using Revision Robin's own level descriptors below. These are not the exam board's mark scheme. Every quotation in the feedback is checked against your answer before you see it, and a teacher's mark overrides ours.

Level 3 · 7 to 12A detailed and comprehensive assessment demonstrating a thorough understanding of the challenges facing rural areas and the effectiveness of responses. Specific, accurate, and detailed place-specific information and data (e.g., case studies like Cornwall or Lake District, housing affordability figures) are used effectively to support a well-developed and sustained argument. Judgements are perceptive and fully justified, leading to a strong conclusion. The response is well-structured and uses geographical terminology appropriately and consistently.
Level 2 · 4 to 6A clear assessment demonstrating a sound understanding of some challenges facing rural areas and some responses. Place-specific information and data are used, though perhaps with less detail or accuracy, to support a structured argument. Judgements are made and generally justified, leading to a conclusion. Geographical terminology is used appropriately.
Level 1 · 1 to 3A basic assessment demonstrating limited understanding of rural challenges or responses. Place-specific information may be limited, generic, or inaccurate. Arguments are simple and lack structure or support. Conclusions, if present, are unsupported. Limited or inappropriate use of geographical terminology.
