A website for teenagers is publishing advice for young people entering the world of work. Write a guide for young people starting their first part-time job. In your guide you could: • explain what to expect on your first few shifts • give advice on dealing with difficult customers or colleagues • suggest how to balance work with studying and free time • explain what young workers should know about their rights as well as any other ideas you might have. *Your response will be marked for the accurate and appropriate use of vocabulary, spelling, punctuation and grammar. (40 marks)
AO5 (published assessment objective): Communicate clearly, effectively and imaginatively, selecting and adapting tone, style and register for different forms, purposes and audiences. Organise information and ideas, using structural and grammatical features to support coherence and cohesion of texts.
AO6 (published assessment objective): Candidates must use a range of vocabulary and sentence structures for clarity, purpose and effect, with accurate spelling and punctuation.
Assessed against AO5, AO6 using Revision Robin's own level descriptors below. These are not the exam board's mark scheme. Every quotation in the feedback is checked against your answer before you see it, and a teacher's mark overrides ours.
