Assessed against AO1, AO2, AO3 using Revision Robin's own level descriptors below. These are not the exam board's mark scheme. Every quotation in the feedback is checked against your answer before you see it, and a teacher's mark overrides ours.

Level 3 · 7 to 8Demonstrates thorough and accurate geographical knowledge and understanding of both economic development and forest conservation in tropical rainforest environments (AO1). Applies knowledge and understanding to consistently analyse the extent of the balance with clear, logical chains of reasoning, leading to a well-supported judgement (AO2). Develops a comprehensive and coherent argument, drawing well-judged conclusions supported by detailed and accurate geographical information and relevant place-specific detail from a named case study (AO3).
Level 2 · 4 to 6Demonstrates sound geographical knowledge and understanding of either economic development or forest conservation, or both with some limitations (AO1). Applies knowledge and understanding to analyse some aspects of the balance with some logical chains of reasoning, but may lack a clear judgement (AO2). Develops an argument which may contain some detail, supported by appropriate geographical information and/or case study reference, though may lack depth or coherence in places (AO3).
Level 1 · 1 to 3Demonstrates limited geographical knowledge and understanding of economic development or forest conservation (AO1). Applies limited knowledge and understanding with simple statements or descriptions, showing underdeveloped reasoning (AO2). Presents a basic response with limited geographical information, often lacking structure or clear relevance to the question, with little or no case study detail (AO3).
