Assessed against AO1, AO2, AO3 using Revision Robin's own level descriptors below. These are not the exam board's mark scheme. Every quotation in the feedback is checked against your answer before you see it, and a teacher's mark overrides ours.
| Level 3 · 7 to 9 | Demonstrates detailed and accurate geographical knowledge and understanding of the physical characteristics and interdependence in a tropical rainforest. Provides thorough and well-developed examination of how these characteristics create an interdependent ecosystem. Uses relevant and specific examples effectively to support arguments, demonstrating clear links to the question. Arguments are logical, coherent, and well-structured. |
| Level 2 · 4 to 6 | Demonstrates sound geographical knowledge and understanding of physical characteristics and interdependence. Provides some explanation of interdependence, but may lack depth or development in linking it directly to physical characteristics. Uses some relevant examples, but links to the question may be less explicit or detailed. Arguments are generally clear but may lack sustained coherence. |
| Level 1 · 1 to 3 | Demonstrates limited geographical knowledge and understanding of rainforest characteristics or interdependence. Provides simple statements with little or no explanation of how they create an interdependent ecosystem. Limited or no use of relevant examples, or information is generic. Response is basic, unstructured, or lacks clarity. |
