Assessed against AO1, AO2, AO3 using Revision Robin's own level descriptors below. These are not the exam board's mark scheme. Every quotation in the feedback is checked against your answer before you see it, and a teacher's mark overrides ours.

Level 3 · 7 to 9Shows clear, detailed and comprehensive examination of multiple aspects of planning and risk assessment, clearly linking their importance to the success and safety of human fieldwork. Excellent use of specific examples, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of potential issues and mitigation strategies. Provides a well-developed and logical argument, with appropriate geographical terminology and a clear conclusion.
Level 2 · 4 to 6Shows sound examination of some aspects of planning and risk assessment, with an attempt to link to successful fieldwork. Uses some specific examples. Provides a generally clear argument, with some use of geographical terminology, but may lack depth or critical evaluation of their crucial role. Conclusions are supported by some evidence/examples.
Level 1 · 1 to 3Shows basic description of a few planning or risk assessment elements, with little or no attempt to link to fieldwork success or safety. Limited use of examples. Provides a basic description or list, with little or no geographical terminology. Argument is simplistic or lacks structure, and conclusions are weak or not supported by evidence/examples.
